OPENING NIGHT
GBH
Great Britain’s Hooligans

Simon HARSENT
Friday 6 May we kicked off Simon Harsent’s GBH Exhibition and celebrated the remarkable body of work.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who attended ‘GBH’ Friday night. We can all agree that the evening was a huge success, made very special by the support of so many of our friends, family, and colleagues.
Thank you to Head On Photo Festival for featuring this exhibition, and to our guest speaker, Alasdair Foster for his captivating opening that grounded us all in the history, the culture, the significance of the exhibition. To Barney Harsent for his beautiful essay accompanying the exhibition catalogues and cracking playlist.
A very special thank you to Sydney Brewery for keeping our thirsts quenched through the night with your refreshing brews, served by our incredible bar staff, and to Selena from Sunstudios who printed the amazing portraits. Finally, thank you to all at Special Group Studios who let us use their great space for this exhibition.
