Nike launched Australia’s first ever female night race, She Runs The Night, and Us Sydney enlisted the skills of Simon Harsent to shoot both the print campaign, as well as direct and shoot the accompanying online videos.
The campaign was shot over two nights in the dark streets of Sydney with the concept behind the campaign being to empower female runners to celebrate their love for running and their city. This interactive campaign involved a widespread outdoor poster distribution featuring race ambassadors recruited from the Nike She Runs Facebook community, that once scanned by a QR reader launched the videos inviting the public to join the local training sessions and night runs in the lead up to the race event in Centennial Park.
The She Runs The Night event took place at Centennial Park, Sydney on the evening of 3 May 2012.
